Yorkville High Rollerz

The Yorkville Highlands appellation consists of approximately 40,000 acres straddling Highway 128 between the Alexander Valley to the southeast and the Anderson Valley to the northwest. The region has its own dialect called “Boontling“.  In that lingo a “high roller” is somebody from Yorkville Highlands in part because they had to cross a river and they use to roll up their pants when they came to Boonville.

The Yorkville Highlands Growers and Vintners Association has regular meetings and runs yearly events like the Ice Cream Social to benefit the fire department and “Ribs and Reds” to raise money for the association. Check out the website and also below are some of the member sites and their facebook links.  As a provider of Anderson Valley lodging, Ravenridge Cottages is a member of this association.  http://yorkvillehighlands.org/
